I’ve been drawing fashion since I was a sixteen-year-old student in Southend, Essex. I grew up in Leigh-on-Sea with my two sisters (one is my twin) and two brothers. At eighteen, I moved to London and, in 1997, I graduated from Middlesex University with a fashion degree.
For the next ten years, I worked in fashion PR and marketing for two British high street brands before becoming a freelance illustrator and graphic designer. I trained in 2D design at London College of Communication and London College of Fashion.
Although my work is hand-drawn, I like to draw on my graphic design experience to create visual content for fashion and beauty brands. I’ve illustrated for fashion accessories, websites, lookbooks, point-of-sale and packaging for beauty products and fragrance.
My drawing style is feminine, fluid and minimal. I like to paint as though there's a sea breeze in the air and weightlessness in the fabric. So, the hair is usually unkempt and the clothes are barely there–and I can't resist a red lip.
I continue to live in London, with my husband, working in e-commerce between drawing fashion.
